Coffee traditions in different countries

It is considered that the quantity of various coffee sorts, known to mankind, exceeds one thousand. But there are much more ways of its preparation and serving.

Flavoring qualities of a drink depend on many factors. There are not any trifles, everything is important: from a coffee sort choice to bean’s frying and grinding degree.

For example, Americans, who worry about their health to fanaticism, usually drink light coffee without caffeine. Temperamental Italians and, strangely enough, cool Swedes, on the contrary, prefer very dark, black as night, coffee. And diplomatic Frenchmen search for color and taste golden mean. Anyway, each country, each nation, and even each separate individual has his own firm recipe of coffee preparation and drinking.

In Australia, in at first sight absolutely non-coffee country, the waiter will certainly ask you, which – white or black – coffee do you want. In the kangaroo and eucalyptuses homeland “white” is coffee with milk, however, you can meet such coffee designation also in the Old World – in Italy or France.

Speaking about coffee traditions the first that occurs to many people, of course, is Viennese coffee: a strong, dense drink with a snow-white cloud of the whipped cream strewed with small chocolate crumbs. At desire it is possible to add a pinch of vanilla or powdered sugar to cream.

Polish coffee is also very good. Barista add some sugar and a few spoons of milk to a black billowing liquid. When mixture begins to boil, he slightly beats it up for light foaming.

In Stockholm local residents add beat egg yolks with sugar and a wine-glass of rum to the welded and filtered coffee, decorating it with cream above.

Frenchmen have their national coffee recipe – with salt and cognac.

Romanians add cocoa-powder, vanillin, sugar and whipped cream to a strong dark potion.

German beer fans will not refuse a drink with sweet cherry juice – they pour juice in hot coffee, cool it down and drink with ice. And, certainly, speaking about European coffee traditions, it is necessary to mention Italian cappuccino: coffee with beat for light foaming milk.

It is interesting that in numerous coffee houses of a New World among other popular recipes you can find Russian coffee: in the big cup barista mixes two-three instant coffee spoons, one spoon of chocolate syrup and three quarters of cup with hot milk. Whipped cream and chocolate shaving is above.

There is also a Cossack coffee – a rattling mix of strong coffee, red wine and vodka. Sugar is added to yours taste. For certain, it is a good cough medicine, but as any medicine, it is desirable to drink it in small doses.

In general, people, once again proving their love to “a devil potion”, aspire to improve its taste, adding numerous liquors, balms, cognacs, whisky, rum, ice cream, fruit, juice and even herbs. It is possible to choose any of thousand known recipes. Your love always will be mutual, real, true and eternal.
